At a time when children are learning to identify themselves and the world around them, monsters have

a unique appeal. These strange creatures show kids that it s okay to be a little different. Monsters put

a face to our fear of the unknown and allow us to confront that dread. By coloring monsters and giving

them life, your child will better be able to control and cope with their anxieties.

Coloring is also an effective way for children to express themselves. The act of coloring has been shown

to calm children and de-stress them after a day of school and this helps de-stress the parents as well!

Coloring books teach kids about understanding and respecting boundaries why it is important to stay

within the lines, and when you should decide to cross them. Completely coloring a scene gives kids a

sense of accomplishment and a boost of confidence. This better enables them to take on the challenges

of schoolwork and social pressures.

Children can enjoy experimenting and playing with mixing colors to make new colors. By better

understanding the makeup of colors, children are better prepared to understand the full spectrum of

the color wheel as they get older.

This Monsters Coloring Book app also gives kids a chance to practice using a touchscreen and exercising

their tactile skills, abilities that are becoming increasingly important due to the proliferation of

touchscreen and tablet devices.
